FSC® Certification
FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) is the international nonprofit organization whose members (certification bodies, industries that work and market wood products, environmental and social groups, forest owners, and indigenous communities) operate to improve forest and plantation management worldwide, protecting the natural environment, supporting sustainable development, and ensuring real benefits to populations, local communities, and workers.
Log Veneers is FSC® certified as it respects the principles and criteria covering essential aspects of responsible forest management, offering wood products derived from forests and supply chains managed correctly and responsibly.
PEFC Certification
PEFC (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is a nonprofit association that promotes sustainable forest management through certification.
The PEFC program encourages companies to:
- respect the natural capacity of the forest to grow and regenerate, consequently harmonizing the pace of cuts;
- reforest areas subject to cutting;
- protect the flora, fauna, and biodiversity of each habitat.
Log Veneers also respects the criteria and indicators defined in the Ministerial Conferences for the Protection of Forests in Europe, balancing veneer production with biodiversity conservation, to ensure a socially fair, ecologically healthy, and economically sustainable forest.
